Coastal Bend Records celebrates its newest release, “Slow and Steady” by J. Plank and G.Rhodes with the Rockport Songwriter Association at The Harbor Room on May 13th, 2026.J. Plank (Jeff Plankenhorn) and G. Rhodes (Gabriel Rhodes) share a deep reverence for the stripped-back economy of J.J. Cale — the idea that a groove is most powerful when it breathes. Their debut album, “Slow and Steady,” is that philosophy made real: recorded live at Coastal Bend Music in Rockport, Texas by John Macy. Built from two voices, two electric guitars (sometimes slide), and a drum machine, seasoned with some bass and Hammond organ. All songs written and performed by Jeff and Gabriel, with one three-way co-write with Chris Robeson. Bluesy, groovy, and deeply felt —don’t miss this exceptional evening!
