Charlie Barker Trio was formed by Jose Sweettone Ruiz named after his dachshund dog Charlie in 2015 in Austin. As a blues and jazz harmonica player, Jose Sweettone Ruiz has been involved with several projects: The FBI Blues band, a Tom Petty Tribute band & the Staples Street band.
As the founder of the Charlie Barker Trio, Jose is always looking for opportunities to showcase local musicians.

Austin James Atiee, an American singer-songwriter from New Braunfels, Texas, discovered his passion for music early. By the time Austin turned fifteen, venues across the Texas Hill Country began to take notice. Billy’s Ice was the first to invite him to perform, followed by Trout Street, Plateau Brewing Co., and many more.

Marcy Grace is a dynamic young singer/songwriter shaking up the Texas Country scene. Known for her powerful voice, high-energy shows, and standout lead guitar work, she’s a multi-instrumentalist who also rocks the drums, electric guitar, and banjo. With three Top 40 hits on the Texas Radio Chart, Marcy brings a fresh, modern sound to the genre while staying true to its roots.

I have a small but well equipped cabin recording studio from my property outside of Corpus Christi. Remote drum recording is my main niche – I’m known for highly expressive drums in any style but especially in delicate folk/singer-songwriter. I also produce full records and can cover most of the instruments you might need. I love working with artists to bring good songs to life!

Matt was raised in the Dallas area and first began jamming on harmonica with high-school friends in the mid 1970’s. He has worked with gospel, blues and country bands in North Texas, the Hill Country and the Coastal Bend. His retro playing style is influenced by Little Walter Jacobs, Big Walter Horton, Darrell Nulisch and Paul Butterfield among others.

Jules Taylor is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Texas. He spent 20 years living, performing, and working in Nashville and New York before returning to Corpus Christi. ​​ His band, The String Breakers, are a collective of the finest Country and Bluegrass musicians in South Texas.

Instruments played are mandolin, guitar, harmonica, & dulcimer (Jacob), guitar (Dad), & autoharp (Mom) which lends a unique sound. This year, 2025, marks 20 years the Jacob Austin Band has been performing together.

We are a five piece band specializing in Country and Classic Rock. We cover everything from Hank Williams Sr to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Midland to George Strait. You name it we can cove it. We have a combined, over 150 years experience in playing music. We love music and we love playing music with each other. Book us for an event and quickly realize what I am talking about.
