SUMMARY:Mapping the Texas Coast & Spanish Imperial Policy | Winter Lecture Series
DESCRIPTION:Kick off our 2026 Winter Lecture Series with a fascinating journey into the early history of the Texas coastline at our first lecture\, “Mapping the Texas Coast & Spanish Imperial Policy.”\n\nJoin us on Monday\, January 5th\, from 12:00 PM–1:00 PM\, for an engaging presentation by Francis X. Galan\, Ph.D.\, who will explore how cartography\, coastal knowledge\, and Spanish imperial strategy shaped the development and defense of Texas during the Spanish colonial era.
