With 6 studio albums\, three live projects\, and a chart-topping history in Americana radio\, Max is a staple in the Texas/Red Dirt scene. His star on the South Texas Music Walk of Fame in Corpus Christi stands as a testament to his enduring impact. \nHeather Stalling: \nAn award-winning violinist and fiddle player\, Heather’s musical journey began at the tender age of 3. As a child and young teenager she competed in fiddle contests across Texas and neighboring states; traveling with her parents while winning trophies and fans along the way. At 18\, she was recruited out of college to become a member of “The Texas Gold Minors” in Branson\, MO. Upon moving back to Texas she was a highly sought after fiddle and worked with notable bands Bob Schneider\, Cory Morrow\, Johnny Lee and Mark David Manders among others. She later founded blactopGYPSY with friend Andie Kay Joyner\, writing songs\, touring extensively and putting out two full length studio albums. \nTogether They Soar: \nMax and Heather\, married since 2007\, are finally combining their musical talents to create a captivating project. Max handles rhythm guitar and lead vocals\, while Heather brings her exceptional fiddle skills and harmony vocals to the stage. DESCRIPTION:The Axiom Quartet Presents \nHoliday Storybook \nA program of classical and pop holiday music for string quartet from around the world.  Come listen to old favorites and less familiar holiday songs as Axiom performs and tells the stories behind them. \nFrom Gustav Holst and Ralph Vaughn Williams to Mariah Carey and Barry White\, holiday music has played an important – and influential – role in the development of classical and popular music for thousands of years.  Together we’ll use this theme like a time capsule\, peering into many eras and cultures to enjoy the holiday season with a variety of sounds. \nThe Axiom Quartet is a dynamic professional string quartet based in Houston\, TX. The group is known for presenting programs mixing classical string quartet repertoire\, transcriptions\, contemporary compositions\, popular rock\, electronic\, indie\, jazz\, and pop genres in a single concert experience. Behind these programming choices are Axiom’s belief that concerts that treat these genres with equal reverence can turn classical fans towards extraordinary popular music while serving as classical music advocates to those who normally do not attend classical concerts. As a result\, many of their concerts are sold out. Since 2017\, Axiom has been the Quartet-in-Residence for the School of Music at the University of St. Thomas in Houston\, TX. They are also the primary outreach ambassador for Chamber Music Houston where they frequently perform around the Houston metroplex to engage area youth\, the elderly\, and people with disabilities. Axiom’s touring schedule has ranged from Texas highways to international airports. In addition to annual concerts at the Cave Without a Name in the Texas Hill Country\, Axiom has recently given multi-city tours of both the midwestern US and given a two-week tour of China.
